Why it’s nice to be a dog…

Joe and I have dogs.  3 to be exact.  Wilbur George, Peaches Gretta & Eli (not sure why Eli doesn’t have a middle name…poor guy is like the step child…feel free to give suggestions below).  Our dogs are hilarious and lovable and awesome and sometimes stinky. Lately I’ve decided it must be nice to be them:

No one expects you to take a bath every day.

You’re not expected to buy your own food or anyone else’s for that matter.

When it’s raining, you can lie around the house all day and never worry about being fired.

If it itches, you can reach it.

You can wear a fur coat and no one thinks you’re insensitive.

Having big feet is considered an asset.

If you gain weight, it’s someone else’s fault.

No one tells you to wipe your nose because it’s wet.

No matter where you live, you own the place.

Funny, I’ve had the same thoughts when I’ve been working in the heat of summer or cold of winter and have watched various dogs lying around taking it easy…

    Middle name? Peyton

You should make his middle name “Minator” because his name should reflect what he does in the back yard.

    EliMinatorBoydlive.com could be his blog.

Don’t forget that dogs can love unconditionally! I love that our dogs (also 3) are ALWAYS so happy to see us. I don’t know if it is a short memory (so excited that I have returned, even if I just forget something and came back less than a minute later) or just love. To love with so much enthusiasm. I think that Jesus must love us like that. Ahhhhh.
