Is your church or ministry area hoping to increase the number of volunteers serving within your church?  Something you should consider is your church structure.  In which of the 2 big M’s are you encouraging people to serve? Ministry or Meetings?

The healthy, growing churches I’ve seen get this right. They choose Ministry.  They give their pastor great freedom to empower the church to move forward in ministry.  They recognize that the pastor is called to equip the church to do God’s will.  Growing churches have very few committees, meetings or vote-counting sessions.  They encourage their volunteers to actively serve God in their local church, their community and the world.
